Sustainability Assurance Leader

This critical role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and enhancement of a comprehensive sustainability assurance methodology in line with Australian Standards on Sustainability Assurance Engagements.

As a member of a dynamic and forward-thinking audit and assurance team, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust sustainability assurance methodology.
  • Provide technical guidance and respond to complex queries on sustainability assurance engagements.
  • Collaborate with audit and assurance teams to ensure effective application of assurance methodology.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sustainability assurance specialists.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory and standard-setting environments and integrate into methodology and practice.

You will work closely with management to contribute to future strategies. To be successful, you will require:

  • A graduate degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business majoring in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • CA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and skills, including applied knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing and/or reviewing sustainability assurance engagements.
  • A broad range of client experience across various industries.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing people and technical deliverables.
