About This Role

  • This is a challenging opportunity to work with our Transport Operations team as a Transport Strategy Manager.
  • You will be responsible for collaborating with Network Design and Transport Design teams to solve strategic problems and unlock optimisation opportunities within our transport network.
  • Your key responsibilities will include developing transport hypothesis testing using the Network Design modelling platform, proposing timely transport network solutions to support new distribution centre (DC) builds and other network changes, creating accurate transport models representing current and alternative options, delivering well-documented & accurate business cases, presenting and communicating meaningful insights & results, recommendations and commentary to appropriate stakeholders including senior leadership teams, and managing cross-functional relationships to gather information, standardise design approaches, and provide data analysis for tenders and carrier selection.

About You

  • We are looking for an experienced Commercial Modelling Analyst with business case development experience for a large & complex Supply Chain / Transport business.
  • Strong quantitative business modelling / operational modelling skills within a transport operations environment are also required.
  • An ability to think clearly about the underlying business problems and consultatively recommend data-driven approaches to solving them is essential.
  • You should have experience driving insights from data and presenting the findings with recommendations to different sets of stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills are necessary to achieve outcomes.
  • Able to adapt in fast-paced & ambiguous environments, MS Office / Google Suite with advanced Excel skills and SQL proficient, skilled in manipulating data & deriving insights are also important.
