Job Overview

The Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the shift manager to drive innovation and execution in transportation networks. Key responsibilities include monitoring attendance and workflow, highlighting issues, rectifying them with the shift manager, and ensuring all staff are properly trained and equipped to carry out tasks required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Practices: Foster a strong culture of health and safety practices through compliance with legislation and policy.
  • Daily Management: Support daily management of department duties, including call-outs for training needs, absence, performance management, coaching, and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
  • Deputies: Deputize for the shift manager as required.
  • Training: Assist with the training of new associates to ensure they have the right knowledge to perform tasks required.
  • Metrics: Track, trend, and report on departmental metrics, analyzing and understanding reasons behind success and failure in meeting departmental and delivery station goals.
Requirements:
  • Experience managing teams, planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
