Transport Network Analyst

Job Description:

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead a team to conduct comprehensive analysis of transport network deficiencies. Your key responsibilities will include providing technical input for strategic investment guidelines, evaluating proposed solutions, and recommending optimal courses of action to deliver the best outcomes.

You will work closely with stakeholders to develop transport system submissions under the Infrastructure Australia Assessment Framework and other Australian or Queensland Government funding programs. Additionally, you will investigate and resolve complex issues associated with funding submissions, including planning, programming, and technical matters.

Key deliverables will include preparing and maintaining detailed prioritization frameworks, evaluating capital investment needs, and providing high-level advice to senior management on correspondence, briefing, and stakeholder requests.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sound knowledge of engineering standards and principles as they apply to the planning and delivery of transport infrastructure.
  • Ability to make sound judgements requiring consideration of technical, stakeholder, funding, and other considerations.
  • Working knowledge of Queensland's transport network and an understanding of the associated funding context.
  • Ability to provide clear recommendations in a dynamic environment, rapidly evaluating complex quantitative and qualitative data, and assessing multiple contextual factors.
  • Collaborative approach to achieve the best overall transport outcome for the department's customers and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to undertake a range of roles and activities in a small, highly productive team to ensure the success of the broader organization.
