Job Overview

The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our primary health care services to deliver efficient and effective comprehensive healthcare.

This role involves business planning, administration, financial management, leadership, and oversight of health service quality and safety to meet key performance indicators and maximize benefits.

  • Manage clinic performance and lead strategies to provide holistic primary health care services.
  • Monitor, order, receive, and dispose of vaccines according to IUIH cold chain management policy and procedures.
  • Ensure effective care coordination and case management approaches with clients for health and wellbeing services.
  • Oversee operations, performance, and profitability of the clinic to deliver on operational and strategic goals.
  • Conduct performance check-ins and provide feedback to support professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service.
  • Qualification in Business, Management, Health, Nursing, and/or Allied Health.
  • Demonstrated high-level communication skills and confidence in interpersonal communication.
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
  • Current Criminal History Check.
  • Current Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card).
  • Current Disability Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card).
  • Current CPR Certificate.
