Leadership in Palliative Care

This is a leadership role within the Supportive and Palliative Care team at Auburn Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert clinical advice, leading quality improvement initiatives, providing education, mentorship, and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams.

This position requires a highly skilled professional to provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership services within the Supportive & Palliative Care team at Auburn Hospital.

  • Provide expert clinical advice and consultancy in palliative and supportive care
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Deliver education, mentorship and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop patient-centred care within a community-focused hospital environment
About the Role:

The role of Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 Palliative Care involves driving quality improvement initiatives, developing patient-centred care, and delivering expert clinical advice within the Supportive and Palliative Care team at Auburn Hospital.

Requirements:
  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum five (5) years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least three (3) years in the speciality field in Palliative Care, Cancer Care, Advanced or Aged Care Nursing
  • Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field or other qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the public health organisation
