Senior Cyber Security Specialist Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security operations centre, you will be responsible for monitoring customer environments to identify cyber threats, performing investigation and response activities, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and technically skilled individual who is passionate about cybersecurity and has experience working in a SOC environment. If you have a strong background in network technologies, SIEM and UEBA tools, and SOAR technologies, and are looking for a challenging role where you can make a real impact, then we would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and assist in training junior analysts
  • Be the first escalation point for SOC Analysts
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective incident management and resolution
  • Investigate and respond to complex security incidents
  • Collaborate with the SOC Operations Manager to develop and implement new processes and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies

About You:

  • You have a strong technical background in cybersecurity, with experience working in a SOC environment
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • You have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • You have a strong understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and web protocols
  • You have experience with SIEM and UEBA tools, including Demisto and Cortex XSOAR
  • You have experience with SOAR technologies, including playbook development
  • You have experience with EDR technologies, including Defender ATP and CrowdStrike
  • You have a strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and Cyber Kill Chain
  • You have excellent documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
