Key Leadership Role in Commercial Finance

This is a pivotal position for an ambitious finance professional who excels in fast-paced, growth-driven environments. Are you a seasoned finance leader ready to drive and develop a high-performing commercial and supply chain finance team to deliver strategic outcomes and influence business performance at the highest level across Australia and New Zealand?

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversight of the Profit and Loss statement (P&L) and commercial cashflow outcomes for the ANZ Group.
  • Building and mentoring a high-performing commercial and supply chain finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Supporting key growth projects (in collaboration with the strategy team) including capital expenditure initiatives and acquisitions/divestments.
  • Providing strategic commercial leadership to support capital-intensive operations and long-term investment decisions.
  • Driving commercial decision-making through financial insight, data analysis, and identification of growth and efficiency opportunities.
  • Leading the delivery of short- and long-term business performance objectives, including margin, operating costs, profit, working capital, capital expenditure, and cash flow.
  • Partnering with the CEO, CFO, and Executive Leadership Team to align financial strategy with business goals and performance.
  • Overseeing the commercial aspects of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, including support for capital projects, acquisitions, and divestments.
  • Establishing and embedding group-wide financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and investment decision frameworks, and sponsoring enabling technologies and processes.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, or business administration, along with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) professional qualification/license. 10+ years of experience in senior finance roles, including commercial or supply chain finance, with the last 2 years demonstrating experience working with Leadership teams.

Demonstrated Success:

Developing and leading a commercial and/or supply chain business partnering finance team. Excellent commercial acumen and proven experience in business growth success. Strong leadership and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders and drive successful business outcomes. Analytical and business (financial) modelling skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a relevant field, such as finance or business administration.
