Procurement and Contracts Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contracts Officer to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role will provide administrative support to the Procurement team, handling confidential and sensitive information.

The successful candidate will have excellent procurement advice and support skills, ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, Procurement Policy and procedures. They will also be responsible for tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing procurement advice and support to the broader Agency.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports.
  • Preparing various procurement-related documentation.
  • Entering, extracting and manipulating data for accurate Agency reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • High level of technical competence.
  • Australian citizenship is essential.
