About this role

We are seeking a Senior Ledger Expert to join our Kuala Lumpur hub. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by managing the general ledger, generating financial reports, carrying out account reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting.

  • Prepare journal entries, recurring and allocation journal entries, collecting adequate supporting documentation
  • Carry out month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
  • Responsible for quarterly balance sheet, P&L fluctuation analysis and monthly expense variance analysis
  • Accountable for consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, local accounting policies from government and compliance to internal policies
  • Manage fixed assets, balance sheet counts reconciliation
  • Update and maintain financial reporting on a regular basis
  • Report data input to group financial system on a regular basis
  • Follow the group monthly reporting timelines and monthly closing
  • Prepare internal financial statements and domestic reports, accurately report to senior management
  • Provide various statements and relevant auditing data for the accounting firm's audit work

You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the business including our Accounting/Finance function teams in Netherlands & other parts of the world.

In this role, you will be joining a newly formed Shared Services Centre team, with opportunities to grow within Accounting or wider Finance functions.
