Job Overview

Goulburn is recruiting for CasualMobile Speed Camera Operators to help reduce casualty crashes by 20-30%.

The roles work relatively autonomously, collecting an enforcement vehicle at the start of a shift from a depot and then going to designated positions, aligning the camera and then moving to a new location when the period ends.

Interactions during this period will be with a Supervisor and the control centre which will operate the camera.

Duties

  • Fully adhere to all road rules and demonstrate safe driving behaviour at all times
  • Perform a risk assessment of the site prior to each enforcement session and report sites that are unusable with accompanying Site Maintenance Reports with photos where appropriate
  • Coordinate with the control room for camera set up and testing prior to session commencement
  • Remain alert and attentive through an enforcement session
  • Adhere to business rules in responding to angry or aggressive behaviour
  • Perform pre and post shift vehicle inspections
  • Maintain regular communications with the control room throughout the shift

Requirements

  • Full clean driving licence
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Comfortable being seated for extended periods of time in a vehicle
  • Comfortable with working alone in regional and remote locations
  • Comfortable with occasional overnight travel/accommodation (which will be provided for the operator)
