About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Thiess as a Service Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and servicing of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Assist tradespeople in the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment as directed.
  • Conduct lubricant sampling and testing to ensure compliance with Thiess' Environmental and Safety Management Systems.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient re-fuelling of plant and equipment, adhering to site safety procedures and protocols.
  • Identify and report any machinery or equipment quality issues, and initiate actions to prevent non-conformance.
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, and Thiess' Quality Controlled documentation.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to maintenance and servicing issues through designated channels.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in servicing and refuelling large mobile plant mining equipment.
  • A relevant mechanical trade qualification, preferably with a focus on plant maintenance and repair.
  • Experience operating a highway service truck.
  • A current HR drivers licence.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety, with a focus on preventing accidents and ensuring a safe working environment.
