About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our team at Thiess. As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for diagnosing tyre/rim/wheel conditions, removing and replacing rims/wheels, and performing regular tyre inflation pressure checks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair tyre/rim/wheel conditions
  • Remove and replace rims/wheels and tyres as required
  • Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks and report to Supervisor
  • Source technical information from reference manuals and computer systems
  • Initiate actions to prevent equipment non-conformance
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and perform pre-start checks

About You

  • Certificate II Automotive Tyre Servicing Essential
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Mine Site based heavy tyre fitting
  • Previous open cut mining experience in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving fleet essential
  • HR drivers licence required
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
