About the Role

As a key member of our Maintenance Team at Thiess, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our mobile fleet and other equipment. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and you will be passionate about delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with Thiess' documented procedures.
  • Conduct technical inspections and job estimations to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date knowledge.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff and operations personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times to promote a safe and efficient working environment.

About You

  • Automotive Trade (Light Vehicle Mechanical) or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry.
  • Desirable experience in Vehicle Air Conditioning systems and general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of Toyota vehicles.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety, with a focus on preventing accidents and ensuring a safe working environment.
