Community Program Coordinator Role

This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a community information centre, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors.

Key responsibilities include planning and delivering community programs, supporting community benefit initiatives, and coordinating engagement strategies that align with the broader objectives of the project.

  • Manage supply chains, maintain facilities, and coordinate with vendors to ensure seamless operations
  • Build relationships with community members and groups to foster engagement and collaboration
  • Design, implement, and manage a program of onsite workshops, events, and activities, and coordinate logistics including venue setup, equipment, and catering arrangements

Prepare regular reports on centre activities, program usage metrics, and stakeholder feedback to inform continuous improvement. Supervise mobile information van coordinators, including scheduling and resource allocation. Manage the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement inbox, ensuring timely and professional responses to enquiries.

Succeeding in this role requires demonstrated success in managing community programs, strong leadership and team development skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proven event and venue management experience, effective project and organisational skills, and proficiency in office software and customer service.
