Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and staff at our clinic, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality reception and secretarial services to patients and staff in a caring and supportive manner. This includes answering the switchboard, liaising with patients and their families, performing general clerical tasks, and maintaining office supply levels.

Additionally, you will be responsible for admitting and discharging patients within our centralized billing system, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and correctly loaded into the system. You will also conduct eligibility checks on new patients and prepare invoices and credit notes related to revenue generation.

As a Receptionist, you will work closely with our nursing staff to perform non-clinical duties related to direct and indirect patient care. You will assist with food preparation, restock consumables, manage ordering of stock, and confirm delivery of stock and inventory.

It is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to operate within a multidisciplinary team. You should also possess basic office skills, computer competence in MS Office, and knowledge of infection control and hygiene principles.

The ideal candidate will have three years' experience in a similar role and hold relevant qualifications, such as a patient service assistant certificate or equivalent qualification. A demonstrated commitment to quality improvement initiatives and effective time management skills are also desirable.
