Identity and Access Management Business Analyst Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst to work closely with IT teams, security professionals, and business stakeholders.

The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between these groups, ensuring that IAM initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver tangible value.

  • Develop strong relationships with business leaders, IT teams, and security professionals to understand IAM requirements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gather requirements and elicit stakeholder feedback.
  • Document and analyze existing IAM processes, identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create process flow diagrams, swimlane diagrams, and other visual aids to communicate complex IAM processes.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for IAM solutions.
  • Develop detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and use cases.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and comprehensive requirements.
  • Evaluate the potential business impact of IAM-related changes, including new technologies, policy updates, and process improvements.
  • Assess the associated risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and maximize benefits.
  • Support the development of project charter, scope statements, and other project documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings, status updates, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise, and actionable reports on IAM initiatives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and training sessions to educate business users on IAM best practices and tools.

Key qualifications include a minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 1 year in an IAM or cybersecurity context. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing IAM requirements, projects, or initiatives, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
