Job Overview:

The Waste Communications Specialist is responsible for planning and executing effective marketing campaigns to promote waste education programs. This involves creating engaging web content, email updates, social media ads, and printed materials that resonate with our target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to raise awareness about waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling promotional materials, including posters, digital screen artwork, and print advertisements.
  • Manage and maintain web content related to waste and recycling programs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all platforms.
  • Coordinate feedback and revisions from stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance to optimize outreach efforts and make data-driven decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Utilize project management tools like Jira and Microsoft Office applications to streamline workflow and improve productivity.

Requirements:

  • A degree in communications, marketing, or a related field is essential.
  • At least two years of experience in a communications or marketing role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of developing successful marketing campaigns and promotional materials across multiple channels.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a focus on clear and concise messaging.
  • Ability to manage competing demands, approvals, and stakeholder feedback while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with social media advertising, website updates, and digital communications is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Jira, Google Analytics 4, and Trim (or the ability to learn quickly) is necessary.
