Program Support Role

The Program Support role is instrumental in ensuring the success of our program across Queensland. Reporting to the Program Manager, this position plays a pivotal part in supporting the operation of the program.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Foster strategic partnerships with emergency services and community organizations to enhance the program's reach and impact.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to increase participation in the Emergency Services Cadets program, promoting its benefits and value proposition.
  • Provide administrative support to the Program Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and effective volunteer engagement.
  • Coordinate and deliver a wide range of events, including training sessions and community outreach programs.

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate IV Community Development or equivalent 2 years industry experience, demonstrating expertise in community engagement and development.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with outstanding interpersonal abilities to build strong relationships with stakeholders and volunteers.
  • Proven experience working with, supporting, and managing volunteers effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the Emergency Services Sector, its challenges, and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Eligibility for a QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and National Police Check, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Able to travel on a regular basis, including school holidays, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Hold an unrestricted driver's license, eligible to obtain an RDA if required, to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
