Transforming Lives Initiative

The Transforming Corrections to Transform Lives Centre is seeking a highly skilled Program Implementation Specialist to lead the implementation of our Transform Lives Program in Queensland women's correctional centres and the community.

This program addresses complex needs, including parenting skills, mental health, housing, and substance use challenges, by providing individual and ongoing case planning and support for mothers and their children. The specialist will draw on best practice to ensure continuity of support during custody and for up to three years after release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality assessment documents and provide responsive support to the needs of mothers and their children.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and service providers to enhance the program's effectiveness.
  • Support the collection of research and evaluation data to inform program improvements.
  • Promote cultural competency and provide conflict resolution skills training to team members.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to ethical and legal principles throughout the implementation process.

About You:

We seek an experienced professional with knowledge of human services, social work, or youth work, who possesses expertise in working with First Nations families. You will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively as a team member.

A valid driver's licence for Queensland is required, along with a willingness to undertake and pass annual Criminal History Checks.

  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
