We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Foster Care Coordinator to join our team at IFYS Ltd. As a Foster Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in care, while also supporting foster carers to provide a nurturing and stable environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the capacity of foster carers to meet Child Safety standards of care
- Support carers to provide ongoing care that is emotionally and physically safe, developmentally appropriate, and nurturing
- Conduct home visits and provide regular support to families and children
- Develop individual care plans for each child in care in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Facilitate carer training and attend community events to recruit carers
- Professional experience working with children and families in a therapeutic environment
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills
- Understanding of child protection and statutory intervention services
- Demonstrated knowledge of strengths-based and client-centred practice
- Fixed term 12-month contract part-time employment
- 60 hours per fortnight, 4 days per week within Monday to Friday
- Salary range $85,100 - $97,300 per annum pro rata + superannuation
- Not-for-profit salary packaging options to increase take home pay
- Centrally located Maroochydore office
