The Insurance Services Branch manages the City's portfolio of general insurance and workers' compensation policies. The General Insurance unit handles the City's industrial special risks, motor vehicle, public liability, professional indemnity, councillor's & officers', employment practices liability, and contract works claims.
About Your New RoleYou will provide effective management of claims in relation to litigated and claims in the classes of professional & public liability, councillor's & officers', motor vehicle, contract works, and industrial special risks. You will also provide specialist support to the Coordinator General Insurance.
We're Looking For People Who Have- Significant experience in managing a variety of insurance claims.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with particular emphasis on consultation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and assertiveness.
- Demonstrated customer service excellence, including the ability to contribute as an effective and proactive team member.
- A high level of integrity, and the careful management of confidential information.
- Proven ability to exercise initiative and judgement when required.
- Ability to effectively engage with key stakeholders to support the claim determination & management process.
- A 9-day fortnight work arrangement.
