About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Procurement and Administration Officer to join our Controls Engineering team at KION Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement activities for controls engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of components.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, managers, and team members regarding procurement, tracking delivery of components through various stages.
  • Generate bill of materials and purchase order requests, monitoring and reporting on procurement logistics, delays, and variations.
  • Update team members on delivery delays and schedule changes, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Manage electrical cabinet manufacture, assist with factory acceptance testing, and work with engineers to gather required information for electrical installation documentation.
  • Assist with development of electrical installation tenders, utilizing strong research and analytical skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in administration and procurement, ideally in an electrical engineering environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience working with and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Dynamic attitude, willingness to learn new skills, and take on other tasks as needed.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to interpret information and communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Good research and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting contract development, administration, and/or project management activities.
  • Ability to work in a project-based environment as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Prior experience working with electrical switchgear and controls/PLC components is highly desirable.
