Job Opportunity: Aboriginal Women and Children Case Manager

This specialist service delivers a holistic support program for Aboriginal women and children experiencing family violence.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to provide case management and advocacy services to women and children within the refuge.

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake thorough risk assessments, safety planning, and implement risk management strategies.
  • Provide culturally sensitive case management and advocacy for women with complex needs.
  • Support women and children through intake, assessment, case planning, and exit planning.
  • Deliver ongoing direct support including court assistance, referrals, and tenancy support.
  • Contribute to program development, community engagement, and service improvement initiatives.

To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have:

  • A qualification in social work, community services, or equivalent experience.
  • A strong understanding of the cultural and specific needs of Aboriginal women and children experiencing family violence.
  • Experience in case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy.
  • Knowledge of MARAM, FVISS, CISS, and SHIP reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across diverse services.
  • A current Victorian driver's licence and relevant working clearances.
