Energy Sector Expert

Our organization is seeking a skilled economist to join our team in Sydney.
The successful candidate will apply microeconomics and econometrics to inform energy policy decisions that promote the long-term interests of energy consumers. This includes supporting a transition to a net zero energy sector through data-driven analysis and expert advice.
Main responsibilities include:
- Providing economic insights to inform policy development and project decision-making;
- Applying analytical frameworks, building models, and conducting econometric analysis to draw robust insights;
- Contributing to thought leadership on current developments and emerging trends in the energy sector;
- Facilitating knowledge transfer and promoting a better understanding of how economic concepts relate to the operation of the energy market;
- Communicating complex issues or concepts in a way that is accessible to a wide range of stakeholders.
