Energy Sector Transformation Expert

We are seeking a senior professional to drive impactful M&A solutions for a sustainable future. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with energy project developers, investors, and stakeholders across Australia to deliver innovative strategies that align with client objectives.

Your role will involve:

  • Developing creative transaction approaches to address the evolving energy landscape
  • Leading engagement teams to undertake acquisitions or disposals of energy projects, portfolios, or businesses
  • Collaborating on origination, bid strategy, and due diligence aspects of energy M&A transactions
  • Providing expert advice on regulatory compliance issues specific to the energy sector

You will have the opportunity to work on various energy sectors, including renewable generation, storage, transmission, and infrastructure investment. This is a hybrid position based in Melbourne or Sydney, offering a dynamic work environment and opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing strategic energy sector M&A transactions
  • Managing engagement teams to execute acquisitions or disposals
  • Collaborating on execution aspects of energy M&A transactions
  • Providing regulatory compliance expertise
  • Overseeing detailed investment materials and financial analyses
  • Identifying critical issues impacting purchase price negotiations
  • Project managing teams effectively while overseeing information flows among stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transaction roles within advisory environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in M&A, project, and corporate finance structuring
  • A strong desire to make a difference in decarbonising our economy with evident passion for the energy sector
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in relevant fields is preferred
  • Strong work ethic and adaptability towards new challenges within a collaborative team setting
  • Proficiency in assignment delivery and presentation of results reflecting high-quality standards
