Job Title: Clinical Youth Services Specialist
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide clinical direction and leadership for a youth services team, championing the Pan-Canadian Guiding Principles of IYS. This role involves assessment, crisis intervention, and case management for youth experiencing mental health challenges.
Responsibilities- Embrace a holistic approach to youth well-being, informed by the Pan-Canadian Guiding Principles of IYS, social determinants of health, and principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, reconciliation, accessibility, and anti-racism.
- Provide clinical direction and oversight for youth services provided by site staff members.
- Offer bridge clinical treatment, case management, and coordinated transfer of care to addiction and mental health services for youth ages 12-25.
- Liaise with external clinical treatment providers and provide case management for youth receiving external services.
- Participate in meetings of the Clinicians' Community of Practice and relevant working groups and committees.
- Collect and enter data into the IYS data platform and use it to guide care conversations.
This position requires:
- A degree in a relevant field, such as social work or psychology.
- Minimum two years of experience working with youth and young adults in mental health and addictions services.
- Clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
