About Our Youth Mental Health Clinician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a specialist in this field, you will play a critical role in supporting young people with complex mental health needs.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. You will be responsible for providing evidence-based interventions and facilitating referrals to specialist settings as needed.

Key Objectives:

  • To establish successful therapeutic relationships with young people experiencing severe mental illness.
  • To coordinate care through integrated service models, focusing on headspace centres, child and adolescent mental health services, hospitals, and schools.
  • To prevent unnecessary hospitalisations by providing timely access to targeted clinical care.
  • To develop and implement multiagency care plans for young people with severe and complex mental illness.
  • To provide support to families and carers of young people experiencing severe mental illness.

Priority Populations: We are committed to serving young people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander youth, those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and those experiencing social and economic disadvantage.
