We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Aged Care Worker - Catering Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and kitchen, operates safely, effectively and efficiently, and has the ability to communicate respectfully with colleagues and older people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and serving meals across dining areas within a residence, working collaboratively with other catering team members, and assisting with meal preparation as required.
Key responsibilities include setting up food trays based on residents' dietary requirements, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and adhering to safety, health, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
- Please note that a minimum 1 year experience working in a similar role in an aged care setting is essential.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and as part of a small team are also highly valued.
- A high regard and respect for our residents is necessary.
- An excellent customer service focus is expected.
- An understanding of and commitment to WHS requirements is mandatory.
- A working knowledge of Food Hygiene and Safety Guidelines is required.
- A current Food Safety Handling Certificate is also necessary.
- Full working rights with no restrictions are essential.
