Job Title

The role of Quarry Manager is a critical position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hard rock quarry. As a senior leader, you will play a key role in ensuring that all aspects of the quarry's operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and regulations
  • Oversee quality control processes to meet client requirements and site-specific management plans
  • Motivate and lead employees and contractors to achieve business results
  • Coordinate truck drivers, product deliveries, and associated tasks
  • Meet and achieve production targets
  • Identify potential safety hazards through active completion of risk assessment processes
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement plans to achieve production targets
  • Conduct weekly meetings with key stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Quarry Manager Practicing Certificate (Tier 2 Quarries)
  • Prior quarry management experience with a strong understanding of quarry regulations and requirements
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Relevant RII tickets
  • HR license
  • Previous excavator and loader operator experience preferred
  • White Card
