Clinical Simulation Nurse Role

Are you a skilled healthcare professional looking to make a real impact in the field of clinical simulation? We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Simulation Nurse to join our team at the University of Sydney.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in relevant clinical fields, preferably with experience demonstrating specialist simulation equipment and technology. As a Clinical Simulation Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support for all simulation and skills training operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting and supporting the facilities used for clinical simulation
  • Providing clinical and technical support to academics, students, and other technical staff using the clinical simulation environment
  • Managing resources, including monitoring stock levels of equipment through regular stock-taking and inventory management
  • Assisting in coordinating reporting and documentation, including safety protocols and workspace requests for the clinical simulation environment
  • Undertaking ad-hoc projects and other activities as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in relevant clinical fields, preferably with experience demonstrating specialist simulation equipment and technology
  • Sound working knowledge and acute awareness of safety regulations and operating procedures within the clinical simulation environment, along with experience implementing safety protocols
  • Strong understanding and up-to-date knowledge of relevant aspects of workplace health and safety policy and applicable legislation
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and exercising sound judgment when resolving issues during day-to-day work
