The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is a specialist hospital in eye and ear care, providing services across Victoria.
This world-class hospital has been providing care for the senses for over 160 years.
It offers almost 90 different outpatient clinics for diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of vision and hearing loss, as well as a 24-hour emergency eye and ear, nose, and throat service.
Every year, it cares for nearly 200,000 patients, with over 136,000 outpatients, over 42,000 emergency patients, and over 14,000 inpatients.

You will have the opportunity to work on our Acute Ophthalmology Service, Surgical Ophthalmology Service (outpatient clinics and operating theatres), and our specialist Emergency Department on a sessional basis.
Senior Medical Staff are expected to provide effective, efficient, and timely patient-centred care and on-call services as rostered.
They also provide supervision, education, and training to Junior Medical Staff, nursing, and allied health staff, observers, and students.
