We are currently seeking a skilled clinician to join our team as a Therapeutic Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children, young people and foster families.

As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will work closely with passionate case managers, carer development staff and other clinical specialists to provide trauma-informed consultation, intervention and support that empowers carers and uplifts young people.

About the Role

This is not your average clinical role. It's a chance to bring your therapeutic knowledge into real-world practice, guiding and shaping the care of some of the most vulnerable children in our community.

  • You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide guidance and support to carers and young people.
  • You will be responsible for facilitating reflective practice with care teams, supporting secure attachment between carers and children, and consulting on complex case planning.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health, trauma and child and adolescent development, and understand the weight of responsibility that comes with this work.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline.
  • Current registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Postgraduate training in relevant child, adolescent and family clinical practice, family therapy and systemic thinking.
