Aircraft Cargo Specialist

Job Summary:
- Efficiently process documents to ensure accuracy and proper entry into logistics systems.
Liaise with various stakeholders, including airlines, couriers, customs agents, clients, and regulatory bodies as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking cargo with airlines and negotiating rates.
- Inspecting all dangerous goods documentation and cargo for compliance.
- Ordering materials and supplies as needed.
- Managing third-party relationships and raising permits as required.
- Acting as part of the quality assurance team, working closely with regulatory bodies.
- Quoting clients and raising invoices from quotations.
- Processing creditor invoices and accounts payable.
- Participating in the weekend work roster and maintaining a flexible schedule.
- Developing and maintaining up-to-date rate sheets and other information as needed.
- Recording internal and external complaints and documenting discrepancies.
- Inspecting all freight received or dispatched to the consignee or shipper.
- Confining sourcing to approved suppliers and reviewing purchase orders.
- Completing skills inventories and ensuring training is recorded on personal training logs.
- Dealing with clients and staff in a professional manner.
- Maintaining client portfolios and requesting updates for SOP amendments.
- Utilizing Hellmann's in-house systems for follow-up and tracking purposes.
