Senior Lawyer Position

Seeking a seasoned family lawyer to lead our Melbourne-based team. As a Senior Lawyer, you will have the opportunity to grow and shape the practice while enjoying national network support.

Responsibilities
  • Manage diverse family law caseload, including property settlements, parenting matters, and family violence matters.
  • Lead and mentor a small Melbourne-based family law team, with scope for growth.
  • Drive business development: Leverage network, tap into firm-wide referrals, and build team profile in the market.
  • Deliver commercially focused and empathetic solutions to clients navigating complex, sensitive matters.
Requirements
  • 7+ years experience in Family Law, ideally Principal or Senior Associate level.
  • A modest client following or strong referral network – and appetite to bring in and grow own work.
  • Commercially minded with proven track record of hitting billable targets (approximately 5 hours per day).
  • Eligible for inclusion on the BLSB register and family law legal aid panel.
