Family Law Principal

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Family Law Principal to lead our family law team in Melbourne.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex family law cases, including property settlements, parenting matters, and family violence matters.

In addition to their technical expertise, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to drive business development and grow the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters
  • Lead and mentor a small team of family lawyers in Melbourne
  • Drive business development through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts
  • Deliver commercially focused solutions to clients while maintaining empathy and understanding
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years' experience in Family Law, ideally at Principal or Senior Associate level
  • A strong client following or referral network, with a proven ability to bring in and grow own work
  • Commercially minded with a track record of hitting billable targets
  • Eligible for inclusion on BLSB register and family law legal aid panel
