About the opportunity
As a Family Lawyer at PCL Lawyers, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal counsel and representation to clients navigating complex family law matters.
Based in our Melbourne office, you will be part of a highly talented team dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.
What you'll be doing
Advising clients on a wide range of family law issues, including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and spousal maintenance
Conducting thorough legal research and preparing comprehensive case strategies
Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as separation agreements, consent orders, and parenting plans
Collaborating with other legal professionals, such as barristers and expert witnesses, to build strong cases
Providing compassionate and empathetic support to clients during emotionally challenging times
Continuously expanding your knowledge of family law legislation and case law
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Law and admission to practice as a solicitor
Minimum of 3 years' experience in family law, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and find creative solutions
Empathetic and compassionate approach when working with clients experiencing difficult personal circumstances
Commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with changes in family law
