The Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant Urologist to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for an exceptional individual with expertise in providing high-quality clinical services, particularly in after-hours and weekend duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising trainees and other staff, as well as educating medical staff, students, and community groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing expert clinical services, including emergency care and patient safety activities.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, including doctors and nurses.
- Contributing to research and service planning initiatives within the hospital.
This role offers a competitive remuneration package and additional allowances for overtime and on-call work. Our hospital provides access to modern facilities, including electronic medical records, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
RequirementsTo be eligible for this position, applicants must be registered as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent qualification. They should also have experience working in a similar environment and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
