Transforming youth mental health is a pivotal objective for this Senior Staff Specialist role. The team aims to develop innovative care models that directly improve the wellbeing of young people in South Western Sydney.
">- Enhance early access to mental healthcare for young individuals with complex needs.
- Facilitate effective transitions between youth services as required.
- Bridge the gap between primary care and specialist services through strategic partnerships, regional planning, and systemic reform.
This role forms part of a region-wide strategy to enhance outcomes for young people with severe and complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will work across Headspace centres in Bankstown, Liverpool, and Campbelltown, collaborating with Local Health District services and primary care providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical management and treatment of patients under their care in a SWSLHD facility.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and practitioners within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Participate in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Contribute to service development, regional integration, and innovation in care models.
