Ecological Land Management Specialist

The Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security is seeking a skilled professional to join their Development Coordination Branch as an Ecological Land Management Specialist.
Located in Palmerston, this full-time permanent position plays a vital role in supporting the sustainable development of the Northern Territory's land resources.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing projects and competing priorities, providing advice to the public, industry, and other government agencies on vegetation and land resource management.
Responsibilities will include assessing land clearing applications, ensuring alignment with Government commitments to manage climate change risks while building environmental resilience.
In addition, the successful applicant will gain experience in interpreting legislation and regulations, preparing high-quality technical reports, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
To excel in this role, you will require strong project management skills, the ability to work in a small team environment, and a willingness to undertake field inspections.

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
