Music Teacher Role

We are seeking a skilled Music Teacher to provide music tuition to primary school students and connect them with relevant activities.

This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality music programs to young people in groups of two or more, promoting their musical skills and knowledge.

  • Provide weekly 30-minute brass tuition to young people in schools
  • Maintain strong relationships with Principals, teachers, and student wellbeing staff at primary schools to ensure positive outcomes for program participants
  • Organize events each year, a minimum of one per term in school and in the community
  • Manage administrative and equipment requirements for participating students and inform coordinators of repairs required
  • Inform management of program progress and communicate event details and Salvation Army news to families

To be successful, you will have:

  • Extensive experience playing brass instruments combined with providing instrument tuition
  • Musical qualifications, including teaching qualifications
  • A national police record check
  • A current and valid Working With Children Check
