Teaching Position: Primary Music Educator

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a passion for music education and the ability to develop engaging curricula for primary students.

The successful applicant will work effectively as part of a collaborative team, maintaining positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. They will create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect and engagement.

This part-time position requires demonstrated experience in primary music education. However, we encourage graduate teachers to apply as well. The role reports directly to the College Principal through the Deputy Principal of Primary or the Director of Creative and Performing Arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver teaching programs using the Understanding By Design curriculum framework from a biblical perspective.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve educational goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
  • Create a positive and respectful classroom culture.
  • Manage administrative tasks and professional responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the Christian community of the college.
  • Coordinate primary school performances and direct choirs and/or instrumental ensembles.
