This pivotal clinical leadership role offers a chance to work at the heart of our mission, providing expert guidance, championing recovery-oriented care, and collaborating closely with participants, families, carers, and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:- Design and deliver proactive, person-led interventions that empower individuals to better understand their mental health, build resilience and develop opportunities for community integration.
- Lead with confidence - work autonomously, show initiative and guide clinical practice with clarity and compassion.
- Bring clinical expertise - apply a deep understanding of mental health interventions to support meaningful outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships - collaborate with allied health professionals and community networks to expand choice and support for participants.
- Champion recovery - embed person-led, recovery-oriented practices into every aspect of care.
- Empower others - deliver psycho-education and training to build the capacity of non-clinical staff and strengthen the whole team.
- Possession of tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or other allied health disciplines recognised by the tertiary mental health services sector.
- Eligibility for membership of the appropriate professional body (e.g. APHRA, AASW).
- Specialist mental health skills and experience working in a clinical setting.
- Ability to assess performance deficiencies and invoke reasonable effective and supportive programs for improvement.
- Advanced understanding and demonstrated application of recovery-oriented services.
This is an autonomous role that offers flexibility in managing your own schedule. The position is primarily based in Tamworth, with some travel required to the Hunter region.
