Job Title: Senior Researcher

We are seeking an experienced Senior Researcher to drive and lead advanced research initiatives at The University of Notre Dame Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented researcher to contribute to the development of a capable and culturally responsive Kimberley health workforce.

  • Lead the department's research direction and make significant contributions to advancing the knowledge of the department.
  • Conduct academic research and publish high-quality research outputs to build the research profile of the department.
  • Develop research capacity within the region and build research relationships with local, regional, and national stakeholders.
About the Role

The Senior Researcher will be responsible for:

  • Leading research teams and supervising research staff.
  • Supervising postgraduate students engaged in coursework and/or major postgraduate research projects.
  • Participating in community engagement and industry partnership initiatives.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of research strategies and priorities aligned with institutional goals.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in research, including experience outside tertiary education, creative achievement, professional contributions, and/or contributions to technical achievement.
  • Ability to lead and manage large-scale research projects, including planning, executing, and overseeing research activities and timelines.
  • Skill in supervising, mentoring, and training junior researchers, research assistants, and students.
