We are seeking a skilled Community Development Officer to join our Far North Coast Communities team.
This role involves working with young people, residents, and stakeholders to build resilience, create opportunities, and revitalize communities impacted by recent floods.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish strong connections with young people and residents in the community village.
- Foster meaningful activities that bring people together.
- Support communities to recover, grow stronger, and access necessary networks and services.
- Collaborate with residents to design and deliver events and initiatives that matter to them.
- Serve as a mentor, advocate, and creative problem solver helping individuals and communities move forward.
About You: We're looking for someone who deeply cares about people and communities. With experience in community development, youth work, or social sciences, you'll bring strong communication and relationship-building skills, a genuine understanding of regional and Aboriginal communities' challenges, and the ability to connect people with services and inspire hope through practical solutions.
