Northern Rivers Community Gateway is looking for a passionate individual to join our team to develop and action the "Be Ready, Spontaneous Volunteer Project".
**Position overview**
The Resilience Worker (in conjunction with the Program Development team) will action Community Gateway's Spontaneous Volunteer Management Framework. This community development framework is adaptive to local disaster risk and disaster responses.
- The resilience worker will perform an integral role for the Be Ready Spontaneous Volunteer project which focuses on community engagement and volunteer engagement/management within a resilience building, place-based service context.
- The resilience worker will foster preparedness for Spontaneous Volunteering and build community and stakeholder awareness.

***Selection criteria**
- Three years' experience in a community development role or community project environment experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Sciences/Social Work/Communications/ Project Management or a relevant discipline.
- Knowledge of volunteer management and community engagement.
- Experience in working with vulnerable, disadvantaged, and/or disaster-impacted communities.
Desirable
- Knowledge of project management tools or programs
- Presentation skills for group work/interagency meetings
**Additional requirements**
- Evidence of full COVID vaccination
- NSW Drivers licence
