Orchid Conservation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Orchid Conservation Specialist to contribute to the conservation of Australian terrestrial orchids.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an ex-situ research nursery collection of terrestrial orchids and threatened Australian native plants.
  • Clean and sort seed material for storage within the seedbank.
  • Conduct field work in remote areas for extended periods.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in science or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in horticultural techniques, particularly plant maintenance and cultivation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

About This Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the ex-situ research nursery collection, which includes terrestrial orchids and threatened Australian native plants.
