Job OverviewWe're seeking an experienced Power Worker (Trade Assistant) to join our team located in Stanthorpe. As a skilled trade assistant, you'll be a key contributor to our team, assisting our tradespersons with the construction, maintenance, and associated activities on our overhead and underground electrical networks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist tradespersons with the construction, maintenance, and associated activities on our overhead and underground electrical networks.
- Develop good working relationships with team members and external customers.
- Identify and understand customer needs.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills.
- Current manual 'C' class open driver licence.
- Availability for call out and emergency work as well as work overtime as required.
- Willingsness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
- Experience in safety observing and an ability to actively identify and implement risk control measures where needed.
- Ability to use Computers, iPads, and iPhones.
- Ability to safely work at heights.
- Current High Risk Work Licence (forklift, dogman, rigger, EWP > 11m, VLC).
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing.
- Current C2 Slewing Mobile Crane up to 20t or the ability to obtain these qualifications.
We offer a competitive remuneration package, including:
- A salary range of $96,484 - $103,469 per annum, plus 14.75% superannuation.
- Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $3,000 per annum.
- Housing Allowance – up to $7,020 per annum.
- Locality Allowance – up to $683 per annum.
- Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $5,000 after 2 years and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we'll pay you $5,000 at each milestone.
