At Energy Queensland, we are committed to shaping the future of energy. As a Renewable Energy Specialist - Power Station Electrical Design, you will play a key role in our mission to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable power generation into remote networks.

This exciting opportunity is part of our Remote & Embedded Generation Design Team, where you will provide engineering advice and designs to stakeholders across Energy Queensland and customers. You will engage with a wide range of SMEs & Stakeholders and be involved in technical discussions with customers and their technical representatives to deliver high-quality designs for EQL's Isolated Networks.

As a specialist in electrical design, you will have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and demonstrated knowledge of standards and legislation surrounding electrical engineering. You will also have experience with Design, Installation, or Commissioning of Remote & Embedded Generation Systems, Protection System Design, Substation Design and/or Hybrid Power Station Design.

You will work from either our Townsville or Cairns locations, enjoying a healthy work-life balance on a 9-day fortnight roster if you choose this. Our team offers secure employment backed by a strong collective agreement, yearly EBA increases, strong 14.75% superannuation, and opportunities for skills and career advancement.

In return for your expertise, we offer an attractive salary of $171,495 to $196,287 per annum, plus 14.75% superannuation, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. You will also be exposed to the latest emerging technologies as you work towards transitioning our remote embedded generation sites to 90% Renewable Energy by 2040.
