Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Health Information Services team. As a key member of this professional and supportive administrative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate preparation, delivery, and retrieval of patient records to support high-quality patient care.

About The Role

This role requires regular liaison with internal and external stakeholders, handling enquiries, and managing information in line with privacy principles, policies, and procedures. You will be responsible for responding to general enquiries from internal and external customers, taking appropriate action, and processing requests for patient information in accordance with privacy requirements.

  • Collect and deliver medical records across hospital departments.
  • Order medical records from off-site storage, manage loose leaf filing, and update patient files.
  • Perform general administrative duties within the department.
  • Scan medical records accurately and efficiently.

As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your strong communication skills and attention to detail to provide exceptional customer service. You will also be responsible for managing confidential patient data through our Medical Records Systems.

About You

You will be an organized and proactive team player with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality. Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

  • Previous experience in medical records or another clerical position within a health care setting.
  • A Certificate in Medical Terminology desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively engage internal stakeholders and team members.
  • A strong level of computer literacy/knowledge.
  • Ability to manage a confidential patient data through our Medical Records Systems.
